I guess it depends on the cops. Their response to her was pretty skookum, I thought. Just tell the dispatcher when you call. But I see your point.

I've also heard it said that it's a bad idea to 'work up' personal defense handloads because it gives the lawyers a crack that they can drive a wedge into in that event. They'll claim you wanted to kill somebody and were just looking for an excuse.

Years ago an old lady in the church we attended was robbed by a young man she had befriended. She was so angry about it she said she would have shot him if she'd had a gun available.

I don't think that part was a good thing to say to cops.
