I've always been curious where the line between public and 'inside' information lies. I often receive valuable unpublished information when I call a company and talk to investor relations, the CFO, or the CEO. I've always been impressed how much they are willing to tell you and how much time they are willing to spend talking to you if you show you've done your homework. I assume this is the same information that analysts get when they make their estimates and recommendations, but it is usually not information readily available to the public.
Anyway, I was also told by KVHI that they are trying/hoping for a third analyst to come on board after upcoming earnings are announced.
