WR, I remember the BART being very clean and modern. Should we use tax money (federal of course since the state is broke) to expand it? Maybe that will have a stimulus effect on the economy of the Bay Area, but that would be at least a decade away.

Actually, they have an extension to San Jose under design and construction could start as early as next summer:
