Last night on TV (not sure of which program), somebody was pitching a bear fund for the housing bubble. The fund is:

PROFUNDS SHORT REAL ESTATE PROF (SRPIX)

Its only been around since mid-Sep so not much of a record to consider (its down a few percent over that period). Management fees are predictably fairly steep at 1.6% and there is a $15K minimum investment. The Fund is designed to perform inversely and linearly with (i.e., RE Index down 1%, SRPIX up 1%) the Dow Jones U.S. Real Estate index.

I haven't found a listing of their holdings and will try to get a perspectus. If nothing else, I would be interested in seeing what they are shorting.

I don't read all the posts here so I apologize if this has already been posted. Any comments on the fund?
