But there are other CTI flavours. A Newbridge Networks Corp. affiliate, Vienna Systems of Ottawa, is working on an over-the-Internet telephone service, as are many other firms.

Internet telephony is going to happen, but the quality of the connection is not yet good enough to meet phone company standards. It's a poor second until the technology improves.
