Addi your numbers are wrong and that makes YOU wrong.

>>On that day MSFT closed at $20.9/shr, and SUNW at $3.69/shr.

Your return at the end of market close today (with MSFT at %0.76/shr, and SUNW at $8.47/shr) would have been:

SUNW: +44%
MSFT: +41%

If msft was $20.90 in Dec 1996 and it is $49 now, how could that be a 41% return? That is a 134% return.

You need, my math challenged friend, to go over to AMAZON.COM and buy a book like "The Dummies Guide to punching in numbers on a calculator."
