I noticed NN had a weak close. I can't find any cause.

The following news should impact them through Cambrian Systems:

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The market for optical access networks is quickly emerging in the U.S. and other global telecommunications markets embracing local access competition, according to a new report released by Pioneer Consulting titled "Optical Access Networks: WDM and Optical Networking for Local Loop and Cable TV Applications." In the U.S., the deployment of WDM systems into access networks will increase from $76 million in 1998 to $1 billion in 2003. This forecast includes end-to-end WDM systems for enterprise, metropolitan area, LEC inter-office and local access networks.

"Like other growth markets in telecommunications, the optical access market is being driven by data and the Internet, which are beginning to put a serious strain inter-office and metro facilities," said Scott Clavenna, Senior Analyst at Pioneer Consulting. "Bell Atlantic and a handful of CLECs have already begun evaluating and deploying DWDM for fiber exhaust applications. Over the long term, local carriers will be deploying a complete optical layer into their networks in order to provide new services such as wavelength leasing, wavelength-on-demand, and optical bandwidth management."

Further along in the development of the optical networking market, local access providers will be deploying DWDM systems into the distribution loop, where cable modem and ADSL-based access services will be straining the present coaxial and copper cable networks to their capacity. Optical networking technologies will allow LECs, CLECs and CATV operators the ability to cost effectively manage these new high-speed data services while preserving legacy systems and services.
