WDC's announcement had to do with offloading thinfilm and moving to all Magnetoresistive. Quantum made the decision last year to move to the higher yielding MR and now WDC which didn't do it at that time is paying the price in the market place. QNTM is already all MR which has helped both its yields and bottom line
