The current operation of the oddity on SI.

On SI, to my knowledge there are two kinds of message. Public and Private. Each has a Preview/Spellcheck? function that if checked does a Preview/Spellcheck

If you submit a message and Preview/Spellcheck is on, then only code like that above appears. If Preview/Spellcheck is OFF The chart embed code works OK and you see the image in your message.

A Private message has no Edit Message (15 minutes left) function associated with it. So with Preview/Spellcheck you cannot get embedded code to show a chart within a PM.

However in public message if you submit a message with Preview/Spellcheck on, you can then within 15 minute use the Edit Message (15 minutes left) function to have the chart code embed properly.
