IMO it doesn't matter what the FOMC minutes say. They will trash gold if it's gold bearish because it's gold bearish and they will trash gold if it's gold bullish because they don't want it to be seen as gold bullish. Mostly they will trash gold because they can and because they haven't yet reached their target in price or time.
