But right after that quote they go on to suggest that a shorter-term pattern might be a Pennant (which see).

The Pennant might also be described a short, compact Wedge, characterized by marked diminution of activity. Page 209 in the Sixth Edition.

I think I might look at such things, subliminally. But I don't consciously think about it. My mind gets too filled up with "If:Then" statements, I suppose. I might see one pattern that is bullish and another that is bearish and end up in mindlock with no idea what to do.

I guess perhaps it's a Pennant. I'll have to read more about this stuff....Edwards/Magee has so many pages on it that it needs some time to get the entire message. At least for me, anyway.
