Not all banks are in dire shape, Buetow said. Some, like Wells Fargo & Co. and U.S. Bancorp, are in better shape than many of their counterparts, but their shares are being pressured nonetheless because of investors' overall uneasiness about the financial sector.

Still thinking about WFC... don't know much about USB (10.5% yield). WFC claimed it would maintain it's dividend, but they all say that right until they cut it.


I still like JPM and some of the regionals but I won't go near them until they stop smelling up the joint.
