If your unfamiliar with linux, you are not in a position to judge all the inferior linux clones. irix, hpux, slowlaris or dec pukixs If a real company decide's to sell a merced box with linux and a couple of companies port some more professional aps, This could be some real competition for SGI. Alpha's running linux replaced SGI compute engines in the making of titanic.
