It's my hope, Jake, that rather than simply have another debate forum--SI's got plenty of 'em, don't you agree?--a compilation of what the Republicans are actually doing and the evidence gathered on this thread toward this end, can help someone make a decision as to whether or not they really and sincerely wish to support the policies forthcoming from the White House and Republican-controlled Congress.

In essence, this is a research thread. Don't you agree that it's not good for Republicans simply to be Republicans without any consideration for what the other side stands for, what the other side thinks? That's all we're doing here, Jake.

I'm sure you know I don't and won't shy away from a good and very great debate--I've been in the belly of the beast many a times--lol! So please bear with me, with us, as we do this. Do know I welcome your readership and any contributions you wish to make. Thanks for your understanding.
