This afternoon I went to top off my tank after lunch. Two people each thought they were next in line at the closest gas station (each coming from an opposite direction). They got out of their cars and took punches at each other. This is a first in my memory. We are not under evacuation orders here in Fort Myers but things are really different now. Katrina has heightened awareness of consequences and people are acting accordingly. All planes are full for the next 3 days and the gas stations and supermarket shelves are wiped out.

I am acting accordingly and evacuating tomorrow a.m. I called the resort where I am booked and secured a reservation a day early. I do not give a damn if I am early, or reacting unnecessarily, this is what I need to do to protect myself and my little pets. I am not alone in making these precautions. I see them as a variation on a trailing stop on any other investment. MP
