After 102 months the 5 Share Portfolio is still growing nicely.

4 of the stocks are each up over 200%, with the largest Gainer being DIS at ~277%. The 4 stocks, DIS, GLW, UNP and MCO have grown at an annual Compounded Rate of about 15.6%.

If one includes the more recent addition of LRCX the annual Compounded Gain is about 14.3% and the Capital Gain about 221%. Excluding LRCX the Capital Gain for the 4 stocks is about 254%.

All of the above gains excludes any dividend payments.

It seems selling CL and buying LRCX has turned out to be a profitable move as LRCX is up ~102% while CL is up about 13% over the same time period.

The SPY, the S&P500 ETF, comparison is up about 183% over the 102 month period, so the 5 Stocks have outperformed the SPY.
Looks like one doesn't necessarily have to have a relatively LARGE and diversified portfolio to make a reasonable Capital Gain with one's stock market investment.
