BEAVERTON, Ore./PARK CITY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 1998--
Adaptive Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSO) and FormWare Corporation
today announced an agreement whereby Adaptive Solutions will integrate
and private-label portions of FormWare's forms processing product line
into Adaptive's upcoming EntryLink(tm) family of Computer Aided Data
Entry (CADE) products.
ÿÿÿ EntryLink systems will begin shipping in June 1998 and will be
demonstrated in Eastman Kodak's booth (No.201) at the AIIM show, which
runs May 11-15 in Anaheim, CA.
ÿÿÿ The new EntryLink product line, which will be formally announced
at AIIM, extends the value of Kodak scanners and microimagers by
making them highly productive data entry peripherals for converting
paper forms to useful on-line data. Delivered as complete turnkey data
entry solutions, EntryLink will provide current Kodak customers with a
scalable array of pre-integrated hardware and data entry software
backed by on-site service from Kodak. FormWare's award winning key
from image, forms processing and workflow software will be combined
with Adaptive's data validation and recognition solutions including
the commercialization of patented ICR technology (Intelligent
Character Recognition) purchased from Kodak last fall and OCR products
(Optical Character Recognition) from the company's recent acquisition
of Mimetics, S.A.
ÿÿÿ Dan Meub, President and CEO of Adaptive Solutions, stated, "It's
our intention to make the EntryLink family the most comprehensive
suite of data entry products available by providing all of the
functionality and services the customer will need, and by
incorporating only the highest-quality components. FormWare represents
the best of breed in forms processing software today, making it a
perfect fit. Our customers have worked with Kodak products for years
and are accustomed to a high level of service, quality and
performance. Combining key offerings from FormWare and Kodak with our
own high performance recognition and data validation software, will
ensure that we continue to meet that high level of expectation."
ÿÿÿ "We are very excited about this new complementary partnership
with Adaptive Solutions," said Reynolds C. Bish, President & C.E.O. of
FormWare Corporation. "The EntryLink product line offers unique and
truly high performance migration products for traditional Kodak
customers. Since many of these customers have not yet taken advantage
of forms processing or automated data entry because of their ties to
legacy film equipment, this partnership will offer them new solutions for accelerating their data entry." FormWare's products will be
demonstrated at the AIIM '98 Show & Conference in FormWare's booth
No.1825.
ÿÿÿ Adaptive Solutions (http://www.asi.com) was founded in 1988 and

ÿÿÿ FormWare Corporation (http://www.formwarecorp.com) was created in

Symbus(tm) Technology, Inc., two established leaders in the market for
forms processing software. The company provides high performance
software for forms processing, image capture and indexing, post
recognition processing, image data entry and key data entry on
client-server, standalone PC and document imaging platforms. Its
products are used on more than 25,000 PC's and client workstations
processing over 25 million forms every day. All of these products are
used to automate data capture from forms in order to populate database
and document management systems in a more efficient manner. The
company markets its products directly to end users and through systems
integrators and VARs throughout the world. It is privately held and
