Sorry to rain on the MSFT parade here but every major videoconferencing company had a press release on Monday saying that they were jointly developing products to work with MSFT's Net Meeting. I don't think that PictureTel has any special relationship here.

If we believe that everyone in the world will simply use MSFT Net Meeting (which includes video), we should all sell our stocks now. My take is that the real problem is getting people to use video. We still haven't gotten over that hurdle. Once enough people want it, I feel confident that there will be companies who can differentiate and add value by providing:

1) better features
2) better support
3) better integration with telephony based systems

I think that PCTL has a good shot at all three.
