The war unfolding in Afganistan.
The Northern Alliance is moving quite fast north of Kabul as well as in the North toward Masar i Shariff. The are most probably already helped by UK-US forces, mainly intell, possible air strikes and some commandos.

I doubt that the Taliban will dare having a front line. Too vulnerable. Thus they'll have to abandon all flat lands and other areas where they can't have close by hide outs.
There only viable strategy ( for some time at least) shall be to hide and conduct, or try to conduct, commando type surprise attacks on communication and supply lines.

Soon after the first "official" bombardments, the Tals will most probably come out with the bodies of Bin and top men telling us the Alliance had a lucky strike that killed them all... burned, and as it happens, and that all the files were burned too, so by now the fight has no reason to go on, let's have a party.
