Bob; Price is the most quantifiable measure of two items. You can have Apple gurus shouting at Wintel gurus night and day, but we have become so inured to advertising blah blah blah, that all the hyperbole is discounted, and the sticker is inspected. It is well within Apples capability to make a level playing field with Apple as the top tier facing IBM/COMPAQ and then higher level clones facing Dell/AST and the screwdriver shops facing screwdriver shops. At the end of the day Apple will get some profits from each tier on Apples side(and it must be reasonable lest it kill the concept) OS and the CPU/BIOS %. Will Apple grasp the nettle?? Bill
