Biotech SGX Pharmaceuticals prices 4.0 million shares at $6
In a sign of weak demand, SGX Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company developing novel cancer therapeutics, priced 4.0 million shares at $6. The company originally proposed a range of $11 to $13. CIBC World Markets and Piper Jaffray were the lead managers on the deal. Expect the stock to begin trading on the NASDAQ tomorrow under the symbol SGXP.
