Mammatech Launches e-version of MammaCare Learning System in Yahoo Store
Research Confirms Value of MammaCare for Breast Examination
GAINESVILLE, Fla.--(BW HealthWire)--May 4, 2000--The Mammatech Corporation (OTC:MAMH.OB - news) announced today the creation of a Yahoo Store that will make available to all women an affordable version of its MammaCare Learning System for breast self-examination. The new system, called the e-version, will include a MammaCare tactually accurate breast model and a 45-minute instructional video that teaches a woman how to perform a proficient breast examination, first on the model and then on herself. Women trained with the patented MammaCare system have found breast tumors as small as 3 mm. in diameter, less than one sixth the average size found by conventional self examination. MammaCare's Yahoo Store can be reached directly from the MammaCare web site: mammacare.com

Recently, the Journal of the American Medical Association(1) (JAMA) and Cancer(1), a Journal of the American Cancer Society reported positive results from independent studies of breast examination using MammaCare's tactually accurate breast models. MammaCare scientists developed breast models containing very small simulated lesions within life-like simulations of normal nodular breast tissue. Basic research and development of the MammaCare screening technology was supported by a grant from the National Cancer Institute.

H.S. Pennypacker, President of Mammatech commented: ``The reason MammaCare is so effective is that it incorporates a realistic breast model that teaches the fingers what to feel for. For years, people believed that it was possible to learn to conduct a proper breast examination through pamphlets or videos that depict the examination. The truth is that the fingers must be taught the feel of normal breast tissue and of any changes, such as lumps or tissue thickenings that might require attention. MammaCare accomplishes this instruction with the aid of a model that is so lifelike, it has been used to calibrate mammography machines.'' Pennypacker added, ``Unless women and health care professionals have been trained with this model and had the opportunity to practice on it, they have not learned MammaCare and they are not as skilled as they could be.''

Introduction of a new product involves known and unknown financial risks, with no assurance as to the future results, levels of activity and or achievements.
