>>> If newt wasnt ADHD, he might have had a shot in the 90s.

Newt lost one major battle and that cost him his career. Yet, he was on the correct side of the issue.

The man is brilliant and is certainly amongst the best political leaders we have had in the last half-century. But he allowed himself, somehow, to get in the position of Dick Cheney -- i.e., being demonized without the slightest cause -- and the Left is brutal with this stuff.

I can recall in the late 90s one of my employees -- who was one of the most absolutely decent people I've ever known, made the remark to me, "I hate Newt Gingrich". It shocked me because I couldn't imagine her using the word "hate" in connection with another person. So, I asked, "Why?"

Even more shocking was her answer: "I just can't stand him"; you would have to know this person to realize just how out-of-character the remark was. No real reason, she just hated him. The truth, of course, is that he had been demonized but nobody quite knew why.

I'd vote for Newt in a second but it is highly unlikely, I think, that he'll ever run and let alone win.
