Hello StockPro,
I don't think I will be able to attend AGM.
In the material EV distributed there is a short comment on the current status of the JV with the Yugo partner:
'The join venture was to expire October 31, 1999. The joint venture partners have agreed to negotiate a new expiry date for the joint venture agreement.'
Pretty vague, eh?
Mind you, EV as a Canadian-based company was forbidden to make any investments in Yugoslavia. I talked with Blake Fallis (?) a year ago or so and learned that they, i.e. EV and 'Yugo Hydro', created, as equal partners, a US-based entity with 100% rights to the Piskanja property. However, I have not seen an official announcement of such a deal.
I recall that EV was ready to complete the drilling of the property on a very short notice. 90 days or so.
Canada announced yesterday that the sanctions against Yugoslavia were lifted.
I got myself into the EV story three years ago. Since then I have managed to accumulate a nice position. I am really excited now.
Regards,
AH
