Man, bald, from Mars: ***OT***

No apology necessary, my friend! (I can't speak Martian at all, so you are ahead of me!) I don't think a Nobel Peace Prize candidate will get impeached, but I do agree with you on what you said. My viewpoint on this whole "crisis" is this:

I assume you are asking me why I don't think the Dow is gonna go down big time. Answer: I don't know. I mean I don't know that it won't. I'll be serious, I use a couple of TA filters to try and get a concept on the indices, and my calls last year were reasonably accurate but way off time-wise. I wuz playin' a bit too fast for the market, in other words. I did real, real well last summer, (CHPS, INTC, JBIL) and looked for a down move in the tech area in Sept.-Oct. (wrong, got back in at the wrong time and missed a nice move and basically got zip out of it). I don't see any critical problem (technically, on the Dow) right now. There are a bunch of things that could happen and I want to see if they will. Like what Slick says tonight about Iraq, if anything. The guys I'm watchin' that have been right recently are of the same feeling as you, so I am being very, very cautious. I'm in for long haul on my current dudes, HDI, HELE, FONR, ASND, NE, INTC, PBY, and real comfy on all of 'em right now except NE and HDI which I'm down. I'm heavily weighted in ASND, HELE and INTC, in that order. (Got back into INTC at 69, which turns out so far to be a great play.) I'm hedged on about a quarter of all my stuff with puts, which will spank me if the market goes north. Fundamentally, I am waitin' for somethin' to happen, but I will get caught with my pants down (short term) if the market decides to go south fast. If it starts to look worse than it is, I'll sell some calls on my current dudes and ride it out. If it gets worse than that, I'll be lookin' at 1999. And if I can take a decent profit within the next couple of months, I will, cause I am lookin' at some dudes that may be cheap. Gold may be one, but I gotta look at it. I ain't playin' any short term stuff (on purpose) but I like the drilling equip. and especially the networking sector. Here is some interesting (to me anyway) stuff:
