As far as gamers and AOL goes, I sympathize. I don't agree with the way AOL handled Metasquares, or other games for that matter. This is something that the pr dept. has to work on.

Now, the reasons behind cancelling the games...most likely, they were not material profit centers. For all the gamers that left the service to play at the Zone, AOL subscribers base still continues to grow.

For now, MSN says that their gaming channels will be free forever. I don't know what their "terms of service" read as to charging premium prices in the future. Anyone know?

Strike one for AOL as far as games. In other news...Compuserve still garnishing headlines...
