News - Versalock to Motorola
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Plasma-Therm, Inc. announced today the sale of a Versalock(R) plasma processing system to Motorola, Inc., a leading manufacturer of gallium arsenide (GaAs) and other high speed devices.
The system incorporates Plasma-Therm's Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) technology and will be used for high volume production processes for advanced high speed device products.
Dr. Jay Sasserath, the Company's Vice President, Strategic Marketing, stated "We are very excited about this system sale, as it represents the acceptance of Plasma-Therm's advanced plasma process technology by one of the world's leading GaAs device manufacturers.
