Below is a response I received from GM when I contacted them about an alleged Y2K Cadillac problem. SEE: Message 7479446 Can't find the original story. Pic of the doc: eon2000.com What was it about? Someone sent a Y2K news service a letter that looked like it was from Cadillac, claiming that: "The onboard computer in Cadillac models made from 1974 to 1992 are not designed to recognized the year 2000 and problems may arise in the climate control and maintenance module." Some links on Y2K & autos: Message 7480829 GM's response: unicus.com This remains my stance. Message 7482041 Message 7489342 Oh, the Y2K Cadillac letter turned out to be a fraudulent doc. Just a hoax that some doomers bought into.
