Robert; I am not surprised at Motorolas aggravation. They want to sell sand(CPUs) and Apple dead in the water performance has left them with a barely viable product. Not only do they suffer for computer uses, but the lack of support makes all the engineering world pick other CPUs for embedded uses, and other dedicated projects. In addition capable programmers are scarcer and so it is harder for developers to write stuff.
IBM I think had the idea of selling systems as well, as they might have had margin.(Motorola too)
With the changes in upper echelons and throwing out all the old plans I can see the disarray.
I have a plan, do it.
