China meltdown

How do you say 'Irrational Exhuberance' in Mandarin ?

Chinese officials warned the public that it was becoming a bubble.

Given the housing rollover and the news of subprime loans and lenders cratering- from HSBC to Novastar, it looks like the Fed already has provided liquidity in advance- and knew it was coming. Rick Santeli on CNBC this morning talked about how the January economic data is reflecting what Greenspan said yesterday- recession. The Bond market is saying the same thing.

Slider- you said something a while back when you were posting about subprime lenders and housing- something about the lag effect taking like 2 or 3 years? comments? Is this going to be the house of cards- finally collapsing. Or did the Fed already provide pre-emptive liquidity to minimize the fall?

I saw Freddie Mac announced major changes in their lending standards today too.

Ron

ps- I did buy some insurance-puts. Are you happy now?
