Treo 600: GSM vs. CDMA

This looks to be a fantastic device for mobile data and is already available from Handspring for Sprint's network.

I am pretty familiar with data handling on sprint's network (heavy user of a Vision phone), and i have noticed that voice calls get directed to voicemail when my device is in the process of active data transmission. However, i was surprised to find the word on the street that GPRS versions of Treos do allow incoming calls, even during an active data session (in contrast to the CDMA version).

(my note: from Handspring's FAQ)
Q:What happens if I get a voice call while I'm accessing the Treo 600 data features (email, web browsing)?

A:If you are in the middle of a data session and receive a voice call, you receive an alert that allows you the option to either answer the call or send it to voice mail. If you are in the middle of accessing a web page and you choose to answer the call, the browser will pause while you're on the phone and immediately continue the page load after you've finished your phone call.

That's correct. That information is wrong when applied to the Sprint 600.

This is a correct answer for the GSM model.

Has anyone had experience with a GPRS data-centric device? If it indeed allows simultaneous voice and data, that is potentially a huge advantage and one that I might wait for as an end user.
