it seems that are few limits of what is done with options and a wide area of skimming shareholder equity.

Granting an option to a corpse is indeed pervert.
I went through the mental exercise of applying a common incentive formula to such an event and obviously came up with the solution that such a person could only have created negative contribution to shareholder value at any time before its death (a standard formula using call options with a finite vesting period and restricting underlying stock prices to being strictly positive).
