You can now see why the Institutions and "big money" investors hate IOM.

DEC (Digital Equipment Corp.) had a similiar shareholder value problem as IOM. A small investment firm (with less than 1% of the stock) met with a number of major investors. As a result of this meeting, they were able to get a number of measures on DEC's shareholder ballot. All these measures were intended to improve shareholder value. (Some examples: Stagger the election of Board Members, drop the posion pill, hirer an investment banker as needed to market the company, etc.)

A number of the measures were passed by the shareholders. I believe that this "attack" on Palmer (CEO) and the Board really got their attention. In any event, it was announced this past Monday that CPQ was buying out DEC. I can't say for sure what impact the shareholder action had on management, however, I can't help but believe that it got their attention.

Does anyone on this thread known of an investment banker/firm that would be willing to take a similiar course of action with IOM?

Comments appreciated.

Stock Bull

PS: The way the chart looks, and the stock's action, I think we are heading to 7 1/2. This seems to be a resistance level for the stock.
