Gore Pushes for Kosovar Refugee Relief

WASHINGTON, DC - Vice President Al Gore,
inventor of the Internet, is hoping to make life
more bearable for the Kosovar refugees by
bringing his invention to their filth ridden, disease
infested, camps. Gore told our BNN Washington
correspondent, "Every time I see their dirty faces
and crying children on the television I feel very
sad. I was searching for a meaningful way to
make their lives better when it dawned on me
that the internet would be a good thing to give
them."

Gore plans to have 20,000 computers shipped to
refugee camps as early as next week. Each
computer will be hooked up to a T3 so that the
Kosavars can have the best possible internet experience. Each refugee will also be
given an email account, 100 free hours on America Online, and a credit card to pay
for online shopping and access to porn sites.

The plan has been dubbed "Operation Cyber Smile" and will be paid for through a
special tax that Gore plans to collect from the phone bills of American citizens.
Responding to criticism of the new phone bill tax Gore told BNN, "Something
needed to be done to brighten the lives of these sad and oppressed people. Those
who are complaining about the cost are selfish. Americans should be proud that I
have given them an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the Kosavar
refugees."
