RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2000--Ericsson's first CDMA handset, the A1228c, is ready to ship.
The handset was developed at Ericsson's R&D facility in Research Triangle Park and signals the company's entry into the CDMA market. With the addition of the A1228c, Ericsson has a full portfolio of mobile Internet enabled products in all major digital cellular standards.

The A1228c is a powerful, feature-packed mobile phone that allows fast and easy access to the wireless Web, e-mail, and a host of mobile information and communication services. The phone operates in the 800 MHz band on CDMA digital networks and analog networks ensuring extensive coverage for voice communications. The A1228c also includes a WAP (Wireless application Protocol) micro-browser from Phone.com for Internet connections over WAP-enabled networks.
