If a Chinese manufacturer is applying for permission to manufacture CDMA phones, that would seem to imply that it has either negotiated a royalty agreement with Q or is close to doing so. That would be a major development. Also, is the "Asian manufacturer" referred to in the news story Kyocera?

It certainly sounded like it could be Kyocera.....either that or Samsung. Dr J. might have had another Ace up his sleeve when he was making the deal with Kyocera....Q's management has been amazing. I've been pretty sceptical of China but it sounds like this time is for real.
