Frederick, thanks for the update. Sounds like sales are booming everywhere. As we know Ackerson predicted 1.5 million subs for 1998, which means an average of 375,000 per quarter. I think this quarter is "in the bag".

I received my i600 phone last week. Unfortunately it wasn't operating properly; no signal strenghth indicator, and "no service" problems. The replacement phone, same problems. Finally the third phone seems to be working. I don't know whether it was the phone or the system. Very disappointing.

I think Motorola needs some competition for Nextel's business. IMHO they may see another supplier coming into the picture, possibly by 1999. Have you heard any such talk?
