Better hope not. Then the banks fail, the auto companies fail, 1000's of other companies fail, unemployment goes through the roof... the Great Recession turns into the (new) Greater Depression. While I'm not sure it is a gloom as you suggest, let's suppose it is. HOW DOES IT HELP FOR OBAMA TO PROPOSE A $1.75 TRILLION DEFICIT SPENDING BUDGET THAT LACKS ANY REAL ECONOMIC STIMULUS? They're just giving money away. Billions for laying broadband cable (a rather stupid initiative, given the proliferation of wireless that will totally make it useless). What are they going to do with that when finished? Not shit. If anything, give it away to the phone companies to manage. Stupid expenditure. The thousands up thousands of bad ideas in this budget are just staggering. And all of it adds up to making the economic problem worse, not better.
