Re: Stock buyback

Hi truff.

In the summer of '96, after IOM fell from $55 to mid $20's, IOM made an announcement about a stock buyback plan. Guess what the reaction was? If I recall correctly, the stock went down some more and it just didn't matter. The stock was broken down from any side you looked at, which incidentally happened after the split.

I believe that were in the same situation now. The stock is so broken down that it wouldn't matter what IOM announces in the next couple of weeks. Only earnings, a couple of Q's worth, will boost this stock.

Having said all this, I think IOM will definately take advantage of the current price and repurchase some shares. They won't announce it though, at least in my opinion.
