The middle class is a "swing state" from an economic standpoint. My family got here by working long ago. A lot more arrived in the state in the last nine months and they mostly arrived unwillingly. So which side people feel they are on is certainly going to matter in a conflict. I would imagine MacKenzie Scott thinks well of Angela Davis. Philanthropy and social justice make great companions.
