Let's see we are going to break up into OS and applications. When I make an error on my computer, the computer gives me a sound. Is that a app or part of the OS? If it is part of the OS then I guess windows media is part of the OS. If not, then the DOJ will have to define how much media is the correct amount for the OS. RNWK will argue that windows media should not be part of the OS. If the ability to play media is stripped from the OS then every app that is written will have to buy 3rd party software. Playing media is just the start. You can come up with tons of items that the DOJ will have to decide, as software designers, whether to keep in the OS or not (or how much of an item to keep, etc. etc.)
