You're an engineer, totally absorbed with specs. But the specifications rely on there being skilled labor to carry out the specs. Without skilled labor, your specs are worthless.

It's not about exceeding the spec because prevailing wages were paid. It's about meeting spec.

If you want your specs met, then you'll choose non-scab labor as your best way of getting the work done properly.

Most engineers and architects who have been around understand that quality workmanship is what makes the project a success. Union labor is one way of ensuring a quality, skilled work force.

There is no doubt in my mind that with the erosion of unions in this country, there has been a corresponding decrease in the quality of work and construction. This is well documented. There is less and less pride being taken in one's workmanship. This is a direct result of scabs and scab supporters like yourself.
