Potential is incredible if they can do it w/Autobann at sig. greater than 33.6 reliable connect speed. In Manhattan you are lucky if you can get 33.6. If they can reliable do at double that, and better than ISDN say 80kbs may be something of a magic number....people will beat down their doors. It'll spead by word of mouth and won't even have to advertise for a while. Potential is only dodgy relative to costs if they can only do it at 28.8 or less. New York is not a gee wizz technology place. Its a get the best tools you can to get the job done place. Even at home, more or less. At their current speeds its only a niche play. It would be a real thing if it were available everywhere, to be sure. But available only where you happen to live...its minor. This business that they think avoiding a second phone line is their busienss troubles me. THat is ABOUT THE SUPIDEST BUSINESS PLAN I have ever heard of. Talking about relegating yourself to failure. Sure, it will fill some needs, but its no way to go. Frankly, makes me wonder about management. Regards, Doug
