As usual, they suspected the worst and they were wrong. I'm sure that if they had their way they'd have locked me up without telling my family and left me to rot in the hoosegow for months.

Thankfully, I was hiking some of the same Olympic National Park trails that you were on a few weeks back. Why, it was as if you were with me as I hiked the Grand Ridge:
