Marc: I think you hit the nail on the head. Nor would it surprise me if the ticking time bomb that is Social Security, Medicare, unfunded liabilities, and the omnipresent shadow of a $5.5 trillion federal debt keeps the likes of Alan Greenspan and other responsible number crunchers awake at night. Wait until Generation X finally figures out, during a rare lucid moment or two, that their financial backs are about to be snapped like match sticks under the ponderous weight of grasping, aging Baby Boomers. With profuse and clearly warranted apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson: "...Into the valley of Insolvency Ride the 260 million. Feckless politicians to the right of them, Feckless politicians to the left of them... Into the jaws of Bankruptcy Ride the 260 million."
