Yup. Desperation. Take a figure that the right reviles: Michael Moore. Have him identify Clark as a dove (which he clearly is not; the article admits as much). Wrap it up, and deliver it as...just so much more BS.

Clark is clear. IF the use of force is justified, it must be given the chance to work. We have never shown the original justification for Iraq: that it was a threat to the US with WMD and ties to Al Qaeda.

If the Iraq invasion was solely a mission of mercy, why wasn't it sold that way? Because then people would say: why not North Korea? Burma? Iraq?

The truth is that Bush could not have sold an Iraqi invasion solely as a mission of mercy. Truth is, we can't depose all despots. Truth is, we ARE in a war with terrorists, and have now taken our eye off that ball in this 'Iraqi adventure into nation building'.

Such drivel just strengthen's Clarks position. Everytime I read these desperate neocon attacks on Clark, it makes me believe more and more that he is going to be THE next President of the United States.
