InnovaCom Inc. Awarded Singapore's Capital Tower Contract; TransPEG Selected to Deploy Videoconferencing for One of the World's Tallest Buildings

 Business Editors, High-Tech Writers

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 2000--InnovaCom,
Inc., (OTCBB:MPEG) a leading manufacturer of high quality broadband
video transmission solutions, announced today that it has been awarded
a contract through Singapore's Pidemco Land Limited to provide its
TransPEG(R) 500 transceivers for videoconferencing over ATM.
Full-scale deployment of the project has already begun with
completion expected before the end of June 2000.

Under the terms of the contract, InnovaCom will manufacture and
install TransPEG 500 transceivers, which are used to transmit, receive
and process video over ATM networks. The systems will be installed in
Singapore's Capital Tower building. Among the world's tallest
buildings, the Capital Tower stands 52 stories high and is being built
in Singapore's prime financial and commercial district.
"We are pleased to have been selected to provide videoconferencing
over ATM for the prestigious Capital Tower in Singapore. InnovaCom's
TransPEG won the contract for quality video and ease of use over
several other contenders. This contract award represents an example of
InnovaCom's unique blend of broadcast video and MPEG compression
expertise playing an integral role in separating itself from the
competition," said Frank Alioto, President and Chief Executive Officer
of InnovaCom, Inc. "We look forward to expanding this relationship in
the future, as we provide a growing number of technically superior
products."
InnovaCom's TransPEG 500 delivers a robust 24/7 transmission of
MPEG-2 video over native ATM (AAL5). The TransPEG 500 can also revert
back to LANE (LAN Emulation) protocols for Classical IP (CLIP) based
transmission. Other models in the family are available using 10/100
BaseT Ethernet or T1/E1 (B8ZS or AMI). Video data rates range from 1
Mb/s to 15 Mb/s.
