Vartan, I drooled over Hummingbird last year. It seemed sooooo
good. (They have offices just down the road here in Toronto. Cute
little bird sign on the building.) Still not bad, based on PE 28.7.
Compare to Fulcrum (another internet SW stock) at PE 67.5.
Fulcrum is less established, I guess people forgive it while they
expect Hummingbird to PERFORM. And despite the $5 million to the 'Hummingbird
Centre' downtown, ads still refer to the 'OKeefe Centre'!

Still in comparisons, look at PE of 45.7 for Cognos, and PE 70.4 for
Corel. Yet Cognos is a darling, and Corel is a dog. The reason must be that
Corel has screwed up earnings. The PE is meaningless there. I am
buying Cognos, but from Corel I only want to break even.

Speaking of which, I was about to get even more shares of Corel (at 13 CAD)
when I called to order their $20 Beta Wordperfect CD. They refused my
Canadian order because "the database has no Canadian price". These guys
have done this before. Reminds me of how screwed-up IBM's order entry
system always was.

Excuse my ramblings, need a coffee
