What if it turns out these "bonuses" are not bonuses at all, but are commissions for which AIG is contractually obligated to make payment?

Would still support "getting them back"? Do you believe that people who have worked and earned commissions in good faith should have them "taken back"?

Do you think it would be okay for YOUR paycheck to be "taken back" because I or someone else didn't like the way you earned it?

If these are "performance bonuses" that are not contractual obligations, that's one thing. But this is a political game and we do not know at this point, AFAIK, whether these are REALLY bonuses or they're just some worker's paychecks.
