"...if you are looking at value plays, its imp. to look at cash flow of the firm"

As I say, for me, I've only been rarely impressed with cash flows when I've looked at value plays. Cash flow hasn't been a significant factor for me in my determination of whether I'll make a buy or sell of a value stock. But that is me and the way I operate.

What exactly is it that you are looking at, and comparing/calculating when you "look at cash flow of the firm? Is it DCF? Free cash flow as a percent of something? Are you commenting on cash flows for the stocks you write-up? (I can't remember.)
